About Pauline

My name is Pauline Zonneveld and am a Dutch native. As a multiple migrant I have become an expert at bridging cultures and adapting to new situations. I have a keen eye and am able to see patterns and possibilities. I thrive when faced with challenges and am flexible, articulate, curious, passionate and imaginative.

I love meeting new people and it is my goal to make the photo session a joy for everyone. I try to keep things uncomplicated, yet experimental. My style is subtle and understated reflecting my North European minimalist roots. I take my time and shoot until I am certain to have captured my subject just right. The result: genuine and honest images displaying natural expressions that highlight the unique personality of my subject.

I am inspired by the humanitarian photographer Phil Borges who uses his extraordinary talents exploring and honoring cultural diversity and building cross-cultural understanding. I studied photography at the Fine Arts Academy in Hasselt, Belgium and in 2005 I earned a M.A. in Arts and Cultural Science (University of Maastricht), as well as a M.S. in Contemporary Asian Studies (University of Amsterdam).

Photo Session

Sittings can be booked at the West Linn studio or an alternative location of your choice: the privacy of your home, a park, the coast or anywhere you fancy.

Portrait Session fee

Session fee starts at $ 150 and covers time and talent. The full session fee is due the day of your appointment. Once the photos are edited, you will be contacted for an appointment to review the photos and given a code that can be used to view your images online. This is a great way to let your family take a peek at your session and place orders. Your personal gallery of proofs will be online for two weeks. If you like to extend the gallery time you can add a third week for $ 25.

matting services and pricing
Matting services are offered for all prints up to 16 x 20. I use 4 ply museum quality mats made from 100% cotton fiber. The mat will be custom cut to your print size and will fit into a standard frame.
